Family Weekend in Seabrook

In eager anticipation of little Cyrus's arrival we made the 4 hour journey to NH to see Ryon and Kaitey. We had SOOOO hoped he would be born before the weekend or even ON the weekend while we were there. But....no baby. In fact as I type, STILL no baby! Sigh...

We had such a nice visit and it was awesome to see the place Ryon now calls home. I can see why he likes it there. Ironically, it is close to the very spot that we used to go every other year on our family vacations. Back when he was a little boy we fished, we swam, we introduced him to delicious seafood of all kinds, right near there. And now? He's met someone special who was raised 20 minutes away and they will be raising a son there. Amazing! There really is something charming and homey about a salty, seaside town.

While catching up on lost time I happily clicked some photos from our visit to preserve these precious days of their being on the brink of parenthood. I fondly recall those days of our own. My only wonder is how did 22 years go by so quickly?!

Did I mention how much fun we had trying to give them some good suggestions for a middle name? OMG, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Cuzin' Dave had the best one of all, Fergus. This one has stuck. Each time we speak to or text them we refer to the baby as Fergus now. It makes them laugh and oh how I love to see that light in their eyes.

Hurry Fergus!

Feelin' the love,

~Kate-Lyn~
